larger image 		These industrial grade chargers typically accommodate 16 batteries. Charging bays are arranged in eight independent pairs. The first battery introduced to a pair will be charged immediately. A battery introduced to the same pair any time later will automatically be charged when the first is finished. This arrangement is popular because it implements a reasonable cost - performance trade off. The cost of the necessary internal power supply is a significant factor. Reducing the power required to do the charging allows an important price reduction for the charger while not requiring extra operator attention. All units are regulatory approved (UL1012 and FCC interference). A universal line cord receptacle on the back facilitates charger use in all countries. Calibration means is provided to restore full battery performance when battery electronics become unable to accurately estimate battery charge status. Forced air keeps the electronics cool. Tooling for many popular laptop batteries from leading computer suppliers has been produced and more is being produced as computer companies change designs.
